We don’t have the time or resources to go to both a dietitian or nutritionist and a personal trainer, especially in a place like NYC, where some of us commute more than an hour to work. We are forced to choose between the two: nutrition or exercise.

We can use food as a distraction, filling an empty hole, or learn to eat well in response to hunger. We can use food as a way to numb our feelings, or stop eating when we are sated to maintain a healthy weight and prevent disease. As a certified dietitian and nutritionist, I will give you the tools and information to guide you to make the right choices about food whether you’re a vegan or a die-hard bacon lover. I will be a training, exercise, and weight loss consultant, specializing my services depending on your particular fitness, health, travel and medical needs. I will help you incorporate your favorite foods into you daily choices, teach you how to find foods that fit into a healthy eating plan (yes, even chocolate!), and help you change your relationship with food. The nutrition and fitness plan I set up for every client is specialized. Each person is a world unto herself and will be treated as such.
We can choose to be physically active most days in order to age with strength, or we can continue to find excuses, to hold off until tomorrow. Exercising to improve health does not have to be running marathons and intense gym workouts. I will show you how to find ways to incorporate exercise into your everyday life. I will work with you to create the top training program that best suits your lifestyle and fitness level. Exercise is fun, not a chore and can be done at home, work, on the way to work, or any number of unexpected and unusual places. You don’t need an expensive NYC gym or sports facility to start on a fitness plan and get in shape.

We can choose to be victims of our health problems, living limited lives, or learn to dominate and live with them. We often think that because we have limiting health problems like diabetes, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome, cardiovascular disease, back pain or osteoporosis, we cannot be active. We think “diet” and eating well are synonymous with restrictive and boring. Healthy living is anything but dull!
As a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer residing in Manhattan in New York City, I have had the opportunity to coach, train, and be a consultant for celebrities, children, pregnant women, adolescents, retirees and athletes. Moreover, I have invaluable experience working with clients with medical problems as well as dietary and physical limitations. Each client arrives with unique challenges. I will help you learn to control the symptoms of health problems by working with your doctors and counseling you, teaching you great ways to eat. I will work with you, online or in person, to make you feel good about taking control of your life again. Your health problem does not have to define who you are.
