Mary Jane Detroyer is a Registered Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer who has worked in the health and fitness profession for over 20 years. She started her career in the fitness industry teaching aerobics in 1986. While interacting with participants in her classes she came to realize that many of them had physical or medical limitations and nutrition questions for which she did not have answers.
Her desire to provide her clients with accurate nutrition, diet and weigh loss information as well as appropriate exercise programming led to her decision to get degrees in both nutrition and exercise. She graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Movement Science from Hunter college in New York City and Magna Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Columbia University. Mary Jane is certified as a Personal Trainer by the American Council on Exercise and has conducted fitness classes and one-on-one training in corporations and fitness centers throughout Connecticut and Equinox in New York City. She has a private practice in New York City, Mary Jane Detroyer & Associates. She specializes in nutrition and exercise for Women’s Wellness throughout their lifecycle, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Osteoporosis, Weight Management, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Sports Nutrition and Eating Disorders.
She believes is staying current on research associated with nutrition and exercise so she can incorporate this into her work with her clients.

She co-hosted a weekly TV show on nutrition topics on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network. She has been featured in Mademoiselle, Fitness Magazine, Shape, Time Out New York and Ladies Home Journal magazines.

Meredith Liss is a Registered Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist and Certified Diabetes Educator. As a senior level dietitian patients at The New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City Meredith has over 15 years experience working with the doctors and their patients. She received a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Penn State University and completed her dietetic internship at the New York Hospital. Recognizing the vital relationship between nutrition and exercise, she received a Master’s degree in Applied Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Meredith’s education in exercise science enables her to provide safe, effective exercise recommendations based on each clients unique fitness and medical history. Her areas of expertise are in HIV/AIDS, cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, cholesterol management, blood pressure control, weight management, sports nutrition and diabetes.
Meredith believes in empowering her clients to make healthy food choices. She acknowledges that temporary food deprivation can only yield short term results, while gradual lifestyle change can yield long term success.

Meredith has participated in various nutrition-related research projects and has presented original research at several different international medical conferences. She has published article in scientific journals and newsletters.
