Body composition is important information for competitive athletes, for those trying to lose or gain weight, or those trying to build muscle. We use Lange calipers to measure body fat and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis to measure total body water, fat free mass and fat mass.

For those trying to lose weight the focus is on losing fat while maintaining muscle rather than just the number on the scale and on embracing a new lifestyle through behavior change. We will repeat measurements as a way of tracking progress and providing motivation. For the athlete knowing body composition can assist in refining your nutrition to improve performance and provide a competitive edge.
